Clay stamped coasters with Ann Butler's stamps

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my new May post !
Irit is here and this time I decided to combine Ann Butler's gorgeous Faux Quilting Unity and Clearsnap Background Basics  stamps  with Makin's Clay and to show you how you can make usable coasters.
I actually made just one single sample as I was short of clay in the colors I  used, but isn't those posts are just all about samples?
So here is  small and easy tutorial:
1.  Pick 3 colors of Makin's Clay that fit good together. The easy way is to pick them from one of the mixed kits and I worked with Vineyard Tones colors  set. Stamp over a flat 1/4'' piece of Makin's Clay of you favorite color with one of Ann Butler's Background Basics Clearsnap stamps or/and one of your favorite Ann Butler's Faux Quilting Unity 2'' stamps. As you can see from the finished project I used a few of Ann Butler's stamps, but stayed mostly with Background Basic Clearsnap Picnic 1 stamp .

2. Use Makin's cutters to cut 1'' squares, 2'' rectangles (not shown on the tutorial photos) and then cut the circles with the smallest round cutter from the stamped pieces.
Insert the cut circles into the cut squares/rectangles matching the different colors.

3. Insert the cut circles into the cut squares/rectangles matching the different colors.

4. Arrange the stamped squares and rectangles over your bare wooden coaster and add a stamped strip to cover it all (the coaster  was bigger than the stamped pieces). Let your clay dry over night. Cover the whole coaster with 2 oz. of mixed Easy Cast  ETI Resin and let it dry for at least two days. The resin cover is proved as a non sticky with hot drinks. Don't use any other coverage such as Gel Medium or Glossy Accents as those are totally sticky when you put your hot  cup over the coaster.
