Postcards form the past set

This cute mini set was made with Pion's Designs postcsrds and for them. So I handmade this cards holder, stamped and embellished as much as possible for this mini set. The inside envelopes are Tim Holtz ones, cut and dry embossed and embellished with stamped images. Then I added those vintage  Pion's Photos to the postcards and embellished  them as much as it was possible for the flat creations.
Stamps are Pink Paislee, MME  and Prima.
Here is a all over look of this set from the front

Sew crafty

My " about me" page- the photo is from Ingvid Bolme Prima class a few month ago, I just have maybe 2 photos from there. And this A2Z Scraplets dress form was just a good fit for this photo. I colored the chipboard form with the same colors as my top on the photo.MLS products used here and then a lot of stamping (crafty me)- Tim Holtz   set, heat embossing, some small crafty items and a hand made flower. This time I made the folder flower from the circle cut of this circle page - the part that was left.

Many techniques on You

This page was made as my first lo for WOW Embossing powders   for CHA booth and as you can see the whole page was stamped with Brocade WOW background stamp and then heat embossed with WOW Clear glossy regular powder. Then it was inkes with a mix of Clearsnap chalk inks and the base was done. I also heat embossed the scalloped cardstock with Suzy West Earthtone collection Earthtone Honey Regular  powder. The tags were Sizix  die cuts from embossed with the same stamp cardstock, using Suzy West Red Cable Regular , Bay Area Blue Regular  and Earthtone Olive Regular   powders. Then those Epiphany Crafts Round 14 epoxies were made using  the same embossed papers  and added Momenta titles. Ok- now for this A2Z chipboard flowers: handpainted with Creative Inspirations Paints and heat embossed with WOW clear powder and Suzy West Earthtone Honey  powders over the paint
And this is my charming daughter Nitzan here- making a pose for camera

Green apples of my childhood

This page was published in April  issue of Scrapbooking. com magazine
When I was a little girl, living on Russia, we spent our summer vacation in the country side. I remember those green apples we picked from trees and the taste of them,  even no washed. For 40 years in Israel I never found this same apple taste (also I didn't try too hard). Last July we  went to a short vacation in Georgia (the county that was a part of a former USSR, not a USA state) and there they were: my childhood green apples.

So this page, made with Simple Stories products , is all about those memories. And yes, sometimes  you can scrap apples  or watermelons or strawberries if they are your own  precious memories.
ThenI decided to make another page- with very similar photos and papers, but in this clean and simple style, using Quick Quotes sketch.
It's not a double page, just 2 pages made in very different styles and with same mood.

Catched in Barcelona

This page was published in SNR April/May 2012 issue
New Lily Bee page with A2Z Scraplets most gorgeous tile chipboard and our photo  in Park Gaudy in Barcelona a year and something ago. I think the paper colors fit this photo perfectly. I also decided  just to ink the bare chips a bit, not to cover them. The birds are stamped and hand cut from the circle full stamp, but this was the only stamped board I found so far in the right size (all others were too  big or too small)

Born to read

Yes, that's me! The ultimate  book worm. When other people swim, bike or shop during their big cruise, I am reading. My DH decided to take this photo to show the world what his wife is doing during our 6 days Greece cruise. Reading is was. OK, I took all shore trips too. And ate 6 meals a day. And even won about 130$ in Casino (last night, took 20$ for slots, was lucky)
But I brought 6 books and I had to finish them all. Done! Here is a proof of it.
And this lo was also made to prove that school paper line from Graphic 45 can be scrapped for my crazy adult addiction.
All page is pure Graphic 45 (I won this line on their FB contest- thanks a lot). Then I used some border punches, Spellbinders book dies, AC letters,Prima and Petaloo flowers, A2Z Scraplets chipboard heart swirl and some Epiphany Crafts round bubbles and a vintage metal setting. Just look on those images cut of the paper: same position as me. Even same side.

Dance me to the end of love

This Leonard Cohen song was my inspiration for a long long time. I am an addicted folk dancer and both I and my DH dance more than a decade and I am talking addiction (2-3 times a week for 4-5 hours and sometimes the whole day marathon).  Then I thought those old vinyl record  need to be altered and then I found this Graphic 45 set of paper I never used, as I was keeping it for some music project. And bingo- here was my title, products and inspiration born.
I really love this classic shabby project and hope you do too.

It's a Mixed Media altered project: I stamped over the record with Prima  music stamp, clear embossed  with Wow Clear glossy regular embossing powder with a heat gun. All record edges were heat embossed with  Wow Gold  Rich embossing powder and I even gold embossed those buttons I got as FB win from Blumenthal  Lansing button company (thanks, and I actually got 4 pounds of heart buttons for my next 100 years of crafting). Another Rak used here was a red ribbon and Heart doily from the most gorgeous win on Scrap it girl (again, I have hearts for the next 20 years to craft with- thanks a lot). Some red " blood" drops were made with Creative Inspirations Garnet paint.

As for other products:
Flowers- Prima and " late" Sassafrass
Letters: Prima , MM and fabric red ones from Paper Studio
Ribbons: Webster, Maya Road  and Prima
Punches: Martha Stewart
And a special award to MELODIA old (45 years old) record my DP brought from a former USSR and  never used since early 80th.
So here are lyrics from this song- you need to read to understand the state of mind I was during my craft.
And some challenges too:
Hearts for Artistic stamper
Pinterest inspiration for Clearsnap- I used their Frsot white for stamping over the record and Browns for diestressing (chalks )
Lace for Creatalicious

Tic- Tac - Toe Love

Valentine is close and this is my big altered project, made with Tando Creative Tic- Tac- Toe board, Simple Stories papers and lots of mediums used. I covered the X with crackled paints and then heat embossed them with Wow Embossing Clear Glossy Regular powder. The red hearts were white painted and then partially embossed with Suzy West Cable Red embossing powder, same as my Maya Road letter L. The scripts over the stripes was stamped with Wow Call me stamp set  scripted post stamp with dark brown ink. Then all the edges were heat embossed with Suzy West Sierra Sunrise embossing glitter. No pink here. Sorry. I am not a pink girl, so I love black and gold better for this Valentine project.

Georgia mini album

This project was spotlighted in 7 Gypsies blog- thanks!
This mini in a box album was made with some of our Georgia (the former USSR state called Gruzia, not the USA State.) I have about 300 good photos I can never ever scrap, so I just make a page here and there and this mini was a good add on. I made it with 7 Gypsies box and mini, Simple Stories products and lots of layers as I  usually do.
Here is the box- with a ribbon handle, the closure made with 2 round chipboards and a recycled twine
The open look and a mini inside
Opened and mini outside
Mini- closed
Just a few of all pages

Baby banner

Small chipboard albums are too small to add photos , so I often make banners with them and as banners they are just perfect. This new banner was made with Maya Road album pages, Simple Stories products, Epiphany Crafts goodies (buttons, vintage settings, epoxy rounds) and some trims.
I really love this vintage effect of them.
And some close ups

Time flies with Robin's Nest

Hello, dear Robin's Nest friends! Irit is here with my new January post.
My new post today is all about using " whatever you got" and make a nice page with it. And here is a story . I got a small shipment of goodies from Robin's Nest- all green. Lot of paper, stickers, rub ons- but everything in green. So I challenged myself to scrap a page with most possible number of products from this shipment and I think I made it!

Here is a supply list:
Brown Herringbone cardstock, Green with glitter cardstock, Clover border paper, Gateaway stripe paper, Daisy stripe Rain Forrest paper, Woodsy, Birds and Switzerland stickers,Dragonflies and Time Flies Rub- ons, Green ribbon, Men Dew Drops, Green glitter journaling tag, White alphabet.
And now to work:
1. Cut your Herringbone cardstock to 11*11'', round corners, distress it a bit with sand paper block and glue to your green glitter basic cardstock. Hand cut the borders from Clover Border paper and arrange it on the top and on the bottom as shown.
2. Make two circles from the same paper, use the backside and adhere the circles as shown. Trim the edges and glue the left edge on the left upper side.
3. Glue your photo over the circles. Add 2 strips from Gateaway and Daisy papers as shown over and under the photo.
4. Now the fun begins: add stickers, rub- ons, ribbon, dew drops and be a bit crazy. I added some rub-ons over the photo, a clock over the ribbon etc. Add your title and as white was too bright, I covered it a bit with distressed glitter. Add 3d glaze over the bird sticker and some over the trees for more texture and interest. Write your journalling.

And the last thing: don't afraid to alter thing: alter rub-ons, letters, stickers, paper. Sometimes less is more, sometimes- more is what you need.

Dream in Color

This page will be published in SNR April 2012  issue
This lo was made for WOW Embossing powders blog hop and I was told to make a page about things I love about myself. Too bad, as I don't like to share my very personal thoughts with all my Blogoland friends, so I decided to make this page about myself, but without this " I am...." things. But then I thought that I can do it kind of a personal one as I  usually I am a very Black and White person (no grey in between, totally straight and no rounding corners), but my crafty life and my dreams are colorful. So Best Creation Black and White glitter papers  were just perfect for this page.  Them I made this rainbow flower swirl chipboard (A2Z Scraplets) with 6 Wow Embossing Powders (I don't have Orange and Light Blue, so I inked those 2 colors and used a Clear Glossy Regular powder on those colors. The long title was a must to explain this page and the last word was also heat embossed in color.
Here is my product list for this lo:
Wow Embossing  Powders Stamps Butterflies (swirls over the embossed areas)
Wow Embossing Powders : Suzy West Cable red, California Sunshine,Bay Area Blue, Presidio  Purple, Tea Garden Green, Clear Glossy Regular
Cardstock: Best Creation
Chipboard: A2Z Scraplets
Letters: Robin's Nest (white), AC (Black),Maya Road (bare)
Buttons: Dress it Up
Hearts : Epiphany Crafts Heart Tool and bubbles

You all are invited to hop with up for this Love week- we have great giveaway in
Wow blog later this week.
